1. Paul McCartney, $67 million (cont'd)
Paul McCartney, left, and Dave Grohl perform during the 54th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 in Los Angeles.
2. Taylor Swift, $45 million
Her new album Speak Now was certified triple-platinum barely a month after its October release; expect a sales bump after Swift's Grammy victories in 2012.
3. Jay-Z, $37 million
A broad portfolio of business interests and revenues from the tail end of a world tour helped Jay-Z earn more than all but two Grammy winners. The “Empire State of Mind” rapper didn’t show up to pick up his hardware, though, likely because he was busy taking care of newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
4. Rihanna, $29 million
The Barbados-born singer added to coffers with touring, strong sales of new album Loud, digital singles and endorsements with CoverGirl, Secret and others.
5. Lady Antebellum, $20 million (cont'd)
The band Lady Antebellum, from left, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, accepts the award for best country album for "Own the Night" during the 54th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 in Los Angeles.
6. Adele, $18 million
Perhaps Britain's most successful act since The Beatles, Adele snagged six Grammys in 2012. Her second album, 21, was first ever to sell 3 million copies in the U.K.
7. Kanye West, $16 million
West didn’t show up to accept his Grammys in 2012—though his eight nominations were the most of any artist, the rapper was likely miffed that his masterpiece, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, didn’t earn an Album of the Year nomination.
8. Fergie, $15 million (cont'd)
LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 12: Singer Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas arrives at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards held at Staples Center on February 12, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
